Underdogs is a cultural platform based in Lisbon, Portugal, encompassing a gallery with two exhibition spaces, a public art program, an editions department, and the development of commissioned art projects. Established in 2010 and consolidated in its current form in 2013, Underdogs collaborates with a diverse range of Portuguese and international artists from the urban-inspired contemporary art universe.
The platform’s mission is to create meaningful connections between creators, the public, and the city. Through multiple solo and group exhibitions organized annually, Underdogs aims to provide unique opportunities for both established and emerging Portuguese and international artists to create and showcase their work in Lisbon.
Underdogs’ curatorial process focuses on fostering research, experimentation, and the production of bold and innovative contemporary art.
